Instructions
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

Prepare the Garlic Oil
While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden. Add red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds more.
Pro Tip:
Keep heat low to prevent garlic from burning - burnt garlic will make the dish bitter
Combine and Finish
Add drained pasta directly to the skillet with garlic oil. Toss vigorously, adding pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce. Remove from heat, add chopped parsley, and season with salt. Serve immediately.

The starchy pasta water helps emulsify the oil into a creamy coating for the pasta
